Disassembly of BYD f3 fuel pump: the maintenance hole of the fuel pump is located in the trunk, open the trunk lid, and remove the floor mat; unscrew the fuel pump cover from the edge with a slotted screw; separate the electrical connector of the fuel pump, and press the buckle button , Disengage the quick plugs of the fuel supply and return pipes; use the fuel tank lock ring wrench to remove the lock ring; loosen the fixing buckle, and then take out the fuel level sensor unit, fuel filter and fuel pump assembly.

Gasoline pump working principle: At present, the fuel pump of most models is installed in the fuel tank of the car, and the fuel pump driven by electricity is composed of three parts: the pump body, the permanent magnet motor and the casing. When the permanent magnet motor is energized, it will drive the pump body to rotate, suck the fuel from the oil inlet, flow through the inside of the electric fuel pump, and then press it out from the oil outlet to supply the fuel to the fuel system. Fuel flows through the inside of the electric fuel pump, cooling the armature of the permanent magnet motor, also known as a wet fuel pump. The motor part of the electric fuel pump includes a permanent magnet fixed on the casing, an armature generating electromagnetic torque, and a brush device installed on the casing. The brushes are in contact with the commutator on the armature, and their lead wires are connected to the terminals on the shell, leading the voltage for controlling the electric fuel pump to the armature winding. Both ends of the casing of the electric fuel pump are crimped and riveted, so that all parts are assembled into a non-detachable assembly. The additional functions of the fuel pump are performed by safety valves and check valves. The safety valve can prevent the oil pipe from breaking or the fuel pump from being damaged due to excessive pressure rise when the fuel pipe is blocked. The purpose of the one-way valve is to seal the oil circuit and maintain a certain residual pressure in the fuel system when the fuel pump stops working, so that the engine can be started easily next time.
