I believe that many friends will take out their car insurance in order to save a sum of money, and will also do the maintenance by themselves. And what we are talking about todayBrake fluid, Is also one of the maintenance items, if it is not replaced in time, the consequences will be quite serious. So how often should the car brake fluid be changed? How to change the car brake fluid is correct.

Generally speaking, the replacement cycle of brake fluid is 2 years or 40,000 kilometers. But we can't just rely on the cycle to determine the replacement time, we need to combine the water content of the brake fluid. When the moisture content exceeds 3%, it will remind you that it is time to replace it. If it is more than 5%, it must be replaced as soon as possible, because the boiling point of the brake fluid is already very low at this time, which directly affects the braking effect of the car. You must know that the braking system is related to driving safety, and I hope everyone can pay attention to this moisture content issue.

Brake fluid replacement steps:

1. First, put the vehicle in a flameout state, open the lid of the brake fluid pot, and use a syringe to draw out all the brake fluid inside until there is no more brake fluid at the bottom of the tank.

2. Then you can fill the fuel tank with new brake fluid. But it should be noted that when filling, try to avoid the brake fluid splashing out, after all, it is very corrosive.

3. Use a lift to raise the bottom of the car. Of course, we can also use a jack, but the operation is not so convenient.

4. Then find the oil drain screw of the brake cylinder, and remove the dust cap on the oil drain button.

5. Use a wrench to loosen the oil drain screw, put the rubber tube on it, and connect the other end to the oil drain bottle.

6. At this time, you can start to step on the brakes. Pay attention to the color of the brake fluid in the rubber tube. If the color is still relatively dark, it proves that the old brake fluid has not been drained. And if the color is relatively light, it means that the tire has been changed oil, stop stepping on the brakes and install the screws and dust caps back (the other three tires are also operated in the same way).

7. Finally, you need to observe the position of the brake fluid level. If it is lower than the lowest scale line, you need to replenish the brake fluid.
