For those who have a car, it’s commonplace to do maintenance for their car, and replace it.Brake FluidIt is one of the projects. But many people don't know when the brake fluid needs to be replaced, especially those who are new to automobile knowledge, they may not even know the replacement cycle. So how often should the car brake fluid be changed, and what will happen if it is not changed in time.

Generally speaking, the brake oil is changed every 2 years or every 40,000 kilometers, but the specific cycle depends on the user manual. After all, not all models have the same requirements. Of course, the replacement cycle is just a reference for us. To determine whether the brake fluid needs to be replaced, you have to check the water content of the brake fluid. Because the water content of brake fluid is too high, it will cause varying degrees of impact.

The effect of excessive water content in brake fluid:

1. Because the brake fluid has too much water, it will cause the brake cylinder to rust for a long time.

2. Secondly, it affects the wet boiling point of the brake fluid, which causes the brake fluid to not maintain a very stable performance, so it may not be able to brake during continuous braking.

3. The dry boiling point of the brake fluid also has a certain influence, and it is easy to cause the phenomenon of air lock, which causes the braking effect to decrease, and even feels that the car cannot be braked.

As for the method of checking the moisture content, it can be said to be quite convenient. First of all, we need to prepare a brake fluid water content tester, then open the mouth of the brake fluid and plug the tester directly into it to measure. When the measurement result exceeds 3%, it will remind you that it is time to replace it. If it is more than 5%, it must be replaced as soon as possible, because the brake fluid at this time is likely to have deteriorated.
