When buying an MPV now, I am increasingly confused about which one to choose.
At the beginning of the month, BYD released its second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology, which can charge 10%-97% of the battery in 9 minutes. This system is expected to be installed on the upcoming second-generation Denza D9; this week, Huawei's Zhijie V9 announced its appearance and color, and officially announced that it will debut in the spring, and it will come with Huawei's high-end smart driving data buff; open the Little Red Book, Jikrypton 009 owners are showing off the 800V platform and performance, and Ideal MEGA owners are showing off 5C ultra-fast charging...
Each car has its own "longboard", and each longboard makes you think "this is good".
But if you choose one with fast charging, you are worried about sacrificing battery safety and life; if you choose one with high configuration, you are afraid that the smart driving system will be troublesome; if you choose one with good current sales, you are afraid that the market will change rapidly and new products will be iterated soon.
This is the real situation of MPV buyers in 2026: there are too many choices and they don’t know how to choose.
At this juncture, the pure electric version of Buick Zhijing Shijia is launched.
It’s not the one with the best specs, the fastest charging, or the most dazzling smart driving.
What it wants to give users is just four words: peace of mind when buying.

Part 1: The plug-in hybrid version has already established itself, why do we still want to promote pure electric ones?
Let’s look at a set of data first.
Three months after its launch, the plug-in hybrid version of Zhijing Shijia has continuously topped the sales list of luxury MPVs worth more than 400,000 yuan. The market share has increased from 36% to 57%. Together with the Buick Century, it accounts for 60% of the share in this price range-equivalent to three of every five luxury MPVs sold with a price of more than 400,000 from Buick.

Some dealers reported that this car is not available in the country, and the backlog of orders is so serious that even the show car has been sold. Judging from sales performance, this is true.
User reviews are also very interesting.
A car owner who has had his car for more than a week shared on Xiaohongshu:
"The exterior of the Sijia is quite stunning when I first see it. The lines are smooth and elegant without being ostentatious. The interior is like Nappa leather-wrapped seats, which are delicate to the touch and not boring even after sitting for a long time. There is no space to speak of, and the back row is very spacious. In the words of the child himself, it is like 'Dad bought a moving castle.'"
Another owner valued driving performance more:
"Chassis tuning is Buick's strong point. Compared with the Zhijing Shijia, it is indeed much more solid. It drives steadily without looseness and passes speed bumps very softly. This plug-in hybrid system is so fragrant. It can be easily refueled and recharged after returning to my hometown for hundreds of kilometers, and there is no anxiety about battery life at all."
Someone specifically mentioned the Wuheng system:
"The Wuheng system is really a highlight. Especially when influenza A and a series of colds are prevalent recently, I have to use one-click purification and sterilization of the air in the car every day when picking up children. My children like this car very much and are very happy on their way to school now."
Of course, there are also car owners who complain about pure electric battery life:
"In winter, the maximum range of a full charge is 160km. If you keep turning on the air-conditioning and seat heating, you will have to charge it almost every day."
These feedbacks cannot be seen on the parameter sheet. But it is also these feedbacks that make Buick's Wuheng system, baby-level seats, and Auton battery--these configurations that are not the most eye-catching on the parameter list, proven to be the real "useable and inseparable" needs of MPV users.

So here comes the question: The plug-in hybrid version is selling well, why do we still push the pure electric version?
The answer is simple. There is a group of users who cannot be satisfied by the plug-in hybrid version.
Users in cities with restricted licenses cannot get a number and can only buy pure electricity.
Users who have electric poles at home have calculated how much a kilometer of pure electricity costs, and the plug-in hybrid still has to refuel.
This group of people previously either moved to Jikrypton 009 or Denza D9 EV, or they were still waiting and watching.
On March 17, Buick gave them a new option-the pure electric version of Zijing Shijia.
The pure electric version is here, these features are "really special"
The pure electric version of Zhijing Shijia is only launched in one configuration, priced at 489,900. 900V platform, 601km battery life, Momenta high-end smart driving - these are the "standard features" of a luxury MPV, and it has everything it should have.

But what really makes the pure electric version of Zijingshijia "different" are four things that are closely related to the word "peace of mind":
First, recharge. The pure electric version is the world's first MPV equipped with a 900V 6C ultra-fast charging battery, which can charge from 10% to 80% in 11.5 minutes. This speed is already in the first echelon of the industry, but the flash charging technology released by BYD on March 5 has raised the industry's fast charging standards to a new level.

What about Buick?
Listening to it on the spot, Buick's thinking is - don't strive for "fastest", but "sufficient".
They calculated a travel budget that is suitable for MPV users: after a single trip of 300-400 kilometers, it is almost time to enter the service area. Coupled with the 11.5 minutes of energy replenishment, it is just the right time to "go to the toilet and buy a cup of coffee".
More importantly, there is no need to sacrifice battery cycle life in pursuit of extreme fast charging; there is no need to increase battery volume and occupy the space in the car for the sake of battery life; and there is no need to find exclusive supercharging piles to achieve high-power energy replenishment. Mainstream public fast charging piles can be adapted to high-efficiency energy replenishment. There is no anxiety for daily household use or long-distance travel. This is the real replenishment and peace of mind.
A plug-in hybrid car owner left a message on Xiaohongshu:
"I knew I would have to wait for pure electricity. It can charge 70% in 11.5 minutes. It is completely enough for my daily home use and long-distance travel."
Second, safety. When electric vehicles first became popular a few years ago, everyone was still worried about electric vehicle radiation, but now few people mention it—because the national standards have mandatory requirements, and all mass-produced models must meet the standards. But Buick specifically said this time: the full-band radiation in the car is controlled within 5% of the national standard. Even the position closest to the battery is lower than that of a mobile phone.
Buick believes that MPV users spend 400 to 1,000 hours in the car a year, which is more than using mobile phones, especially families with pregnant women, infants and young children. If users don’t ask this question, it doesn’t mean it’s not important.
In terms of body safety, this car completed three extreme working conditions tests: bottoming, rear-end collision, and drop, and finally passed with excellent results. The equipped Autoneng battery has achieved a record of driving 3.6 billion kilometers with zero spontaneous combustion. The bottom line of battery safety is welded tightly.
A car owner mentioned in the sharing:
"The workmanship inside the car is neat and every detail is taken care of. There is no odor inside the car. My family all praise it for being comfortable when they sit in it."
Although I'm talking about the texture of the interior, what's pointing behind it is actually the same thing: Buick didn't cut any corners in places that users can't see.
Third, health. The widely acclaimed Wuheng system on the plug-in hybrid version is also retained on the pure electric version. Constant temperature, constant humidity, constant oxygen, constant cleanliness, constant silence, purify the air in 100 seconds. The seat fabric is also OEKO-TEX baby-grade certified, "safe for babies to chew on".

Although these configurations are inconspicuous, they are necessary for MPV home users to use every day.
Fourth, service. The pure electric version continues the "Golden Stone Agreement": within 30 days of purchasing a non-commercial vehicle, you can purchase this privilege for 4,999 yuan. Within the next three years, if an accident repair exceeds 30% of the car price, Buick will directly replace you with a new car.
The only one in the industry.
This is not only the manufacturer's backing for replacement in the event of a major accident, but also a promise of "I stand with you." Nowadays, many new energy brands sell cars with good everything, but if something goes wrong, users can’t find anyone. The essence of the "Golden Stone Agreement" is to transform after-sales service from a "cost center" into a "trust asset". Dare to make such a promise, in itself is absolute confidence in the quality of its own products.

What does it mean when the pure electric version is launched?
On the day the pure electric version of Zhijing Shijia was launched, Dong Zhenxiang, the founder of Dadong Roast Duck, became the 10,000th car owner and the first pure electric version owner.
From the previous four-generation Mu Yan family to entrepreneurs like Da Dong, different people say the same thing in different ways: Choose Buick and you will have no regrets.
For users, the pure electric version gives those who "have charging piles and want pure electricity, but cannot give up safety and health" an option that they don't have to worry about. The parameters are not the best, but they may be the most reassuring. In a market where there is an arms race in charging speed and new cars are emerging one after another, "buying peace of mind" itself is a scarce commodity.

For Buick, once the pure electric version is launched, Buick becomes the only MPV brand in the industry that covers all energy modes including fuel, plug-in hybrid and pure electric. This is not only a complement to the product line, but also a strategic focus - no matter how the market trends change, Buick's layout on the MPV track is full coverage and not partial.
Looking at it more deeply, this is actually Buick's redefinition of the identity of "MPV King".
Over the past 27 years, Buick has defined the standard of "business MPV" with the GL8. Now, in the new energy era, Buick wants to use Zijingshijia to redefine the standard of "family luxury MPV" - not to compete in parameters, but to give users peace of mind.
Kanche said:
In the MPV market, there is no eternal king, only products that always meet the needs of users.
In the past, it was "whoever owns the car wins", and later it was "whoever has good parameters wins". When users are bombarded with parameters until they are exhausted, the market enters the third stage -
Whoever makes users feel at ease wins.
The answer to the pure electric version of the Buick Zhijing Sijia lies in the Wuheng system that purifies the air for children, in the radiation value that is lower than that of a mobile phone, and in the promise to replace it with a new one in the event of a major accident.
