You heard it right, Qin L EV has really become more and more aligned this time. Not only does the name sound like the brother of Qin PLUS, but the actual performance is also a bit like a "magic car". The key is that it has lowered the "Yunyan-C" intelligent damping control system, which was originally only available on high-end models, to this level. The weather in Changchun has been a bit cold recently, but it is a new car launch conference. BYD Qin L EV airborne the Northern Spring City with the "Cloud Chariot" technology. It’s like you go to eat fast food, but the store sells you a Michelin set meal. Do you think it’s delicious? The "really fragrant" warning is already full.
Appearance: "Little trick" is hidden in the low-key

When I saw Qin L EV for the first time, I was wondering: Did this car secretly go for plastic surgery? The overall outline is still BYD's "Dragon-Face" design language, but the lines are smoother, the front face is flatter, and the newly designed LED light set is a "smart tool" to light up at night. The wind resistance coefficient is as low as 0.2Cd level, which is not a blow. When running on highways, the wind noise is reduced, and the power consumption is reduced, so the battery life is naturally more solid.
From the side, the car body is slender, and the waistline runs from the front of the car to the taillight, giving it a sense of "shaking your head when walking". The wheel design is also quite particular. The 17-inch size is not large, but the design feels online. It is paired with low flat tires, and the sporty style is instantly revealed. The tail through-type taillights are standard, but this time the interior of the lamp cavity was smoked and the recognition was directly "highly rated" when it lights up at night.

Interior: Not a "grabs cart", it is a "lazer cart" reserve service
When you get into the car, your first reaction is: Can the interior of a car at this price be made like this? The center console uses solid materials, soft bag + stitching, and a rotatable 15.6-inch large screen, which is directly full of technology. The 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel has clear information and the UI design is much more pleasing to the old model.
What surprised me the most was the seats - not only supported electric adjustment and heating, but also had ventilation functions for the main driver! This is rare in trams of the same price. The rear space is even more "overgraded". I sat in 1.8 meters tall, and I had more than two punches on my legs. The rear seats could be placed flat and turned into "bed cart" in seconds. I wanted to take a snatch on the long journey, but it was fine. The trunk is also large enough, and it is easy to put three 28-inch suitcases, so you won’t be able to leave it for daily household use.

Power and control: Only with the "cloud chariot" is truly touching
The highlight is here - Yunnian-C intelligent damping system. This thing is not a gimmick, it is a "black technology" that can actually improve the driving experience. Simply put, it can adjust the damping force of the shock absorber in real time according to road conditions, be softer when passing potholes and harder when passing corners, taking into account both comfort and control.
I tested a section of urban expressway and a section of suburban ruins, and the feeling was very obvious. When passing the speed bump, the body does not have the stiff feeling of "kick" but "suck" in and pops out, and the shock filtering effect is first-class. When cornering at high speed, the roll is well controlled, and the chassis is stable, not like a car worth more than 100,000 yuan.

In terms of power, the Qin L EV uses a single motor rear-drive layout, accelerates by more than 7 seconds per 100 km, making it easy to overtake every day. The power gate adjustment is linear and will not "jump when you step on" like some trams, and it will be very sensible when you drive. The power consumption per 100 kilometers is as low as about 12kWh. With a 60kWh battery pack, the CLTC has a range of 550 kilometers. It is no problem to actually run over 450 kilometers. In terms of fuel economy, BYD is still the best.
Intelligent: Nothing to play virtual, practicality is the king
Now new forces often hype "full-stack self-development" and "city NOA", but Qin L EV is taking another path - practical, stable, and not fancy. DiLink 4.0 system responds quickly, has a rich application ecosystem, and basically supports mainstream APPs. The voice assistant has a high recognition rate, and can be spoken continuously, visible and easy to use.

The L2 assisted driving system is standard, including adaptive cruise, lane keeping, active braking, and blind spot monitoring. I tried the high-speed NOA, the lane change logic is clear, the following distance is adjustable, and it can greatly reduce driving fatigue when traffic jams are blocked. Although it is not as good as those high-level intelligent driving of "car industry Internet celebrities", it is completely sufficient for daily use and belongs to the type of "not seeking the best, but seeking the most stable".
Security: BYD's "old business" is never vague

Speaking of safety, BYD has the "three-electric technology" to provide the foundation. Everyone knows that the needle does not catch fire or explode, and has passed the most stringent safety test. The body structure has also been put into use, with high-strength steel accounting for more than 70%, and with 6 airbags, it is active and passive and safe.
I specifically checked the test results of China Insurance Research Institute. In the frontal 25% bias collision and side collision, Qin L EV is all "G" (excellent), and the safety is not enough to fall.
Horizontal comparison: Are the opponents okay?

Let's draw two popular players to compete - GAC AION S and Geely Xingrui EM-i.
Let’s look at the AION S first. It looks young and has a lot of space, but the chassis is soft and the curved roll is obvious, which makes it less "sensual". The intelligent system responds half a beat slower, and the voice recognition often "can't understand people's words", and the discouragement index is directly full.
Let’s look at Xingrui EM-i again. It has a driving feel when driving, but the fuel consumption is much higher than that of Qin L EV. The fuel consumption is 6L vs 100 kilometers and the power consumption is 12kWh per 100 kilometers. The long-term use cost is much different. Moreover, it is plug-in and mixed, so it needs to be fueled, which is not as worry-free as pure electric.

In this way, the advantages of Qin L EV are revealed: with cloud chariot, stable control; pure electric drive, low usage cost; high configuration, sufficient intelligence. The key is that the price is still controlled within 150,000 yuan, which is a cost-effective way to kill people.
Written at the end

To be honest, I used to think that Qin PLUS had a steady hand in the title of "National God Car". But now that Qin L EV comes, it feels like the "God Car" family is going to add a new member. It does not rely on fancy marketing or uses concept routines, but uses practical techniques and experience to speak. It is more exciting to have a cloud chariot, and this is really not something to say.
It may not be the most dazzling "Internet celebrity in the car industry" or the most expensive "weapon of pretending", but it is definitely the reliable partner who will not feel "dissuading to leave" when driving to work, picking up children, or running long distances every day.

What do you think of Qin L EV like this? Would you consider driving it home? Or are you more optimistic about AION S or Xingrui EM-i? What would you choose?
