Among them, 13,752 passenger trains were launched on May 1 and 23.119 million passengers were sent, setting a record high in the single-day capacity deployment and passenger volume respectively.The number of cross-border trains has increased significantly. From January to May, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Railway sent 12.579 million cross-border passengers, an increase of 16.7% year-on-year; the China-Laos Railway sent 124,000 cross-border passengers, an increase of 24.2% year-on-year, promoting cross-border personnel exchanges and economic and trade exchanges. From January to May, the national railway sent 7.665 million foreign passengers, an increase of 29% year-on-year.
