The official picture of the new Ideal i8, the first pure electric SUV, but it has nothing to do with BMW

I still remember that the initial Ideal Auto was ridiculed as a "rechargeable electric vehicle" by the market, but now consumers have tasted the sweetness of extended-range electric vehicles. Ideal Auto's sales can be said to be among the top in the new circle of forces. The cumulative sales of the entire year exceeded 500,000 vehicles, which are basically contributed by the L series extended-range vehicles.

Of course, Ideal also knows that the extended-range program is only temporary, and pure electric is permanent. Of course, Ideal also launched the first pure electric model, Ideal MEGA, but the price threshold of 529,800 yuan was encountered as soon as it was launched. It is now also Ideal's worst-selling model, with only three digits.

But in addition, Ideal Auto's first pure electric SUV model has also been officially announced. The new car is named Ideal i8, but it has nothing to do with BMW i8. The size positioning should be similar to Ideal L8, a medium and large pure electric SUV. According to the plan, the new car is expected to be officially launched in the summer and will be launched within the year.

Judging from the official photos, the new Ideal i8, Ideal L9 and Ideal MEGA jointly unveiled, which seems to indicate the intention of inheriting the past and opening up the future. In the future, new cars such as Ideal i7/i9 will also be launched. Although the power parameters have not been announced, you can refer to the ideal MEGA for the time being, the battery pack is at least 100kWh or above.

Let’s look at the shape of the new car. It adopts a brand new family design. The front face is still very simple and atmospheric, with a high and low beam integrated light group, large black vents on both sides, and a heat dissipation grille below. However, the iconic star ring sunrise running lights are moved up to the lower side of the front windshield, and the lidar is not absent, which is more similar to MEGA.

From the rear, the family-oriented features are still very obvious. The three cars look very similar to the taillights through the three cars, but in fact, the new car should have a sloping back shape similar to MEGA, so I am even more looking forward to the side visual effect of the i8.
