How to apply car film

Before starting to apply the film, make sure the working environment is dry and dust-free to avoid affecting the effect of the film. It is best to clean the vehicle first, cover the necessary areas, and use special protective covers or plastic wrap to protect it.

1. Glass treatment

First, thoroughly clean the glass surface to be filmed, paying special attention to the top and edges. Then, wipe away any moisture to ensure the glass is dry.

2. Car film cutting

Cut the car film according to the size of the glass. It is recommended to prepare car model glass samples in advance to make it easier to cut the car film.

3. Baking film shaping treatment

When applying film to the front and rear windshields, the film needs to be baked and shaped. Cover the cut car film on the outside of the glass and use a high-temperature and high-speed heat gun to shape it. This step is very critical because the temperature and setting techniques have high requirements. Improper operation may cause the car film to be blackened or the glass to break.

4. Official film

First, spray the inside of the glass with clean water or window film installation fluid. Then, peel off the plastic film inside the car film and stick the car film to the most suitable position on the glass.

5. Catching water work

Spray clean water or window film installation fluid on the surface of the film, and use a long triangle plastic scraper to drive away the water from top to bottom, from the center to the edge. If relevant tools are not available, hard cards can be used instead.

6. Inspection and closing

After the water application is completed, carefully check whether there are air bubbles between the film and the glass, whether it is firmly adhered, and whether there are wrinkles or scratches. If everything is fine, use a towel to clean away any moisture from the edges of the glass.
