Public information shows that since 1951, the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) auto show has been held in Frankfurt, Germany, and the industry has become accustomed to calling the auto show the Frankfurt Motor Show. However, since the organizer's contract with the Frankfurt Trade Fair Center expired in 2019, this long-standing international auto show began to think about changing the host location. It is understood that in order to compete for this international auto show, many local cities in Germany have joined the lobbying team, including Berlin, Hamburg and other cities are applying to be the venue for the next German auto show. But in the end, Munich became the new host location of the IAA Auto Show. The IAA exhibition is held every two years and is the world's earliest international auto show. It is known as the "Olympics" of the world's automobile industry. For car companies, it is undoubtedly an important marketing platform and cooperation opportunity. However, its popularity has declined in recent years. In 2019, the number of IAA spectators dropped to 560,000, which was nearly 400,000 fewer than the 2015 IAA attendance.
