How to change engine oil and oil filter for a car

Regularly changing your car\'s engine oil and oil filter is essential to keep your engine running smoothly. It\'s a simple task that you can do yourself, saving you time and money. In this article, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to change engine oil and oil filter for a car, so you can keep your engine in top condition.

Tools and Materials

Before we get started, you will need some tools and materials. Here\'s a list of what you\'ll need:

- Oil filter wrench

- Oil drain pan

- Funnel

- Jack stands or ramps

- Gloves

Locate the oil drain plug under your car\'s engine. Place the oil drain pan underneath it. Use a wrench to loosen the plug and remove it. Let the oil drain out completely. This may take several minutes. Once all the oil has drained out, replace the drain plug and tighten it with the wrench.

Step 3: Replace the Oil Filter

Locate the oil filter. It\'s usually located near the oil pan. Use the oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the old oil filter. Make sure the rubber gasket comes off with the filter. Take your new oil filter and apply a small amount of oil to the rubber gasket. This will help it form a tight seal. Screw on the new oil filter by hand until it\'s snug. Do not over-tighten it.

Step 4: Fill with New Oil
