The actual battery life from fully charged to empty is about 410 kilometers, with a battery life achievement rate of 78%, and power consumption of 17kWh/100km, which is higher than that of pure electric vehicles of the same level.

If you keep driving at a high speed throughout the journey, the actual full battery life of the BMW i3 is only 350 kilometers, the high-speed battery life achievement rate is only 66.5%, and the power consumption is as high as 20kWh/100km. At the same time, many car owners also reported that the comprehensive actual battery life of the BMW i3 in winter is even as low as 330 kilometers. Compared with independent new energy vehicles of the same level and price, the battery life of the BMW i3 is indeed very poor.

Is the BMW i3 an oil-to-electricity change?

Yes, the BMW i3 and the fuel version of the 3 series are built on the same platform, not from the pure electric platform. Although the BMW i3 has been extended on the basis of the fuel version of the 3 series, it still cannot conceal its true face of changing oil to electricity. In terms of appearance and interior, there are almost no obvious differences between the two models.

Since the vehicle is directly converted from oil to electricity, after the engine is removed and replaced with high-voltage electric components, the entire front cabin looks very empty. This also makes the wheelbase of the BMW i3 longer, but the rear space is still not enough.
