What’s wrong with the fuel gauge?

There are two symptoms of inaccurate fuel gauge, one is that the scale of the fuel gauge is sometimes fast and sometimes slow, one is that the scale of the fuel gauge suddenly drops to zero, and the other is that the scale of the fuel gauge rises and the pointer stays at a certain position I don't understand, the pointer of the scale suddenly rises after driving for a certain distance.

　　

The first situation is relatively common, mainly related to the design of the oil pump, it is more troublesome to repair, and it is not easy to solve it by repairing and replacing parts. The second situation is that the vehicle's oil level sensor is faulty. It is likely that the oil level sensor has stains and has not been cleaned in time. Because gasoline contains a lot of impurities, if left in it for a long time, it will be polluted, which will affect the accuracy of the indicators. Generally, after the car has been used for five years, the oil gauge indicator will be inaccurate, which may be caused by physical wear of the oil level sensor and cannot continue to work normally. The third situation is that the connecting rod between the oil level sensor and the float is stuck, causing the float not to work normally, and the pointer of the oil gauge is fixed at a certain position.
