The charging current of the battery is related to the battery capacity. Generally, the battery of a household car is mostly 12V60Ah, and the required charging current is one-tenth of the battery capacity, which is 6A. Although the charging time is short when the current is large, and the charging time is long when the current is small, the maximum should not exceed three-tenths. In order to make the battery life longer, it is recommended to charge with a small current.
The voltage of a 12V car battery is not fixed. Under normal circumstances, the battery voltage before starting the car is between 11.8V-12.8V, and the battery voltage after starting is between 13.2-14.8V. The battery voltage will affect the normal use of the car. If the battery voltage is too low, the car will be difficult or even unable to start; if the battery voltage is too high, the battery may be damaged. Normally check the battery voltage. If the battery voltage is lower than 11.8V, it indicates that the voltage is insufficient, and the electrical equipment should be turned off to start the car for charging; if the voltage is lower than 10.8V, it indicates that the battery is running low and needs to be charged with a charger.
If the battery is completely used up, charging will take about 8-10 hours. If you charge with low current, you need to charge for about 12 hours to fully charge. However, it should be noted that it is best not to wait until the battery is empty before charging. It is recommended to charge it when the battery is about 70%. At this time, it only takes 6-8 hours to fully charge.
