Its function is to instantly increase the voltage of the original car's 12V to a high voltage of 23000V, and use this high-intensity voltage to activate the xenon bulb between the two poles. The best installation position of the ballast should meet the following conditions:

1. Keep away from the engine turbine, the head section of the exhaust pipe and other places with very high temperature;

2. Install in an open space with good ventilation and heat dissipation. It is best not to have things with low ignition point or easy to be heated and melted nearby;

3. Avoid touching the metal parts of the body during installation, otherwise it is easy to cause the hidden danger of short circuit.

The best installation position in the car engine compartment that can meet these conditions is under the bumper and headlight assembly. When the vehicle is moving forward, the wind entering the central grid can cool the ballast, thereby reducing the risk of spontaneous combustion of the ballast. In addition, the ballast cannot be installed too far away, so as not to affect the normal operation of the ballast by other electrical equipment. Moreover, the ballast will also generate a strong magnetic field when it is working, so it should be as far away as possible from the engine and gearbox ECU to avoid interference.
