have friendsdiscover, During the use of the car, the solenoid valve of the canister keeps rattling, what's the matter? Is it broken? What to do? Don't panic! this is normal phenomenon.
The canister solenoid valve rattles because the canister will produce intermittent switching actions when the throttle is opened, which will make a noise. The solenoid valve of the carbon canister can be covered with a sponge (damping sheet), which can effectively reduce the sound. If the solenoid valve of the carbon canister fails, it will affect the operation of the car. Therefore, the status of the solenoid valve of the carbon canister should be checked regularly.
Inspection method of canister solenoid valve:
1. Warm up the car engine to normal temperature to make the car engine run at idle speed.
2. Unplug the vacuum hose on the steam recovery tank and check whether there is suction. If the vacuum hose has no suction, the solenoid valve of the carbon canister will close when the engine is idling. If there is suction in the vacuum tube, the solenoid valve of the canister should be open at this time.
3. Step on the accelerator pedal, and when the engine speed reaches 2000r/min, check whether the vacuum tube has suction. If there is suction, the system is working normally; if there is no suction, you need to use a multimeter to check whether the solenoid valve has voltage at 20V. If the display is normal, it means the solenoid valve is malfunctioning. If the voltage display is abnormal, it means the line is malfunctioning.
