Can the coolant be changed by myself? The answer is yes,However, we do not recommend that car owners replace it by themselves, because the process of replacing car coolant is relatively complicated and requires some special tools (lift, hose clamp, sealant, etc.).
The specific replacement steps are as follows:
1.First, after ensuring that the vehicle engine is in a cold state, drive the vehicle into the lift operation area and open the coolant expansion bottle cover.
2.Lift the vehicle to a suitable working height, and unscrew the drain screw on the engine cooling water tank to drain the coolant (some models may need to step on the bumper to unscrew the drain screw; if there is no drain screw on the vehicle water tank , You need to use a pipe pliers to pull out the water pipe of the water tank)
3.After draining the coolant, put down the vehicle, pressurize the spout of the expansion kettle with high-pressure gas to drain the coolant remaining in the engine water channel, and screw on the drain screw on the water tank (if the water pipe is pulled out, The water pipe needs to be installed. Note: When installing the water pipe, the water pipe needs to be coated with sealant, otherwise there will be leakage)
4.Pour new coolant from the expansion kettle, and start the vehicle after it is full. At this time, the coolant level will drop significantly. Just replenish the
