Therefore, the life and ignition performance of dual platinum spark plugs are much better than ordinary spark plugs.

The spark plug double platinum is better or iridium is better

The service life of dual platinum spark plugs is more than 60,000 kilometers, which is twice that of ordinary spark plugs that need to be replaced when used for 30,000 kilometers. Moreover, due to the tip discharge effect of dual platinum spark plugs, its ignition performance is also incomparable with ordinary spark plugs. However, the performance indicators of dual platinum spark plugs are slightly lower than that of iridium spark plugs.

Iridium is the most corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant precious metal in nature, and its hardness and melting point are also higher than platinum. Therefore, iridium spark plugs have better ignition performance and longer life than platinum spark plugs. Moreover, since the ignition speed of the iridium spark plug is faster than that of the platinum spark plug, the acceleration performance of the engine using the iridium spark plug is far better than that of the vehicle using the platinum spark plug.

However, since iridium is more rare than platinum, its price is much higher than that of dual platinum spark plugs, and under normal circumstances, dual platinum spark plugs also have stable ignition performance, and their life is not far from that of iridium spark plugs. Therefore, dual platinum spark plugs are still the most cost-effective choice at present.
