oldAccumulatorSometimes when charging or installing in a car, the poles are often unclear, and the positive and negative poles cannot be identified. The signs on the plastic shell are worn out and cannot be distinguished clearly. It is sometimes not easy for beginners to quickly determine the positive and negative poles of the battery. In fact, the positive and negative poles of batteries have many different properties. Based on my actual work experience, I will briefly introduce several effective and feasible methods for accurately judging the positive and negative poles of batteries.
(1) Observe the color of the battery terminal, the darker color is the positive electrode, and the lighter color is the negative electrode.
(2) Insert the two wires connecting the battery into the electrolyte. The negative electrode is the one with more air bubbles around the wire, and the positive electrode is the other end.
(3) Connect the two poles of the battery with copper wires, and then insert the copper wires into potato and other starchy block plants. The copper wire turns green as the positive pole, and the other pole is the negative pole.
(4) Facing the label on the battery shell, generally the one near the upper left of the label is the positive pole, and the one on the upper right is the negative pole.
(5) Identify according to the thickness of the two poles of the battery. Generally, the thicker pole is the positive pole, and the thinner is the negative pole.
(6) When identifying with a voltmeter, touch the positive and negative poles of the voltmeter to the two poles of the battery. If it is an analog multimeter, when the pointer of the voltmeter turns to the "+" direction, it means The battery pole is positive; when the pointer of the voltmeter turns to the "-" direction, it indicates that the pole connected to the positive pole of the voltmeter is the negative pole of the battery. If it is a
