1. Function
The anti-theft device is aIgnition SwitchAn electronic anti-theft device that starts working after opening. When there is a problem with the key transponder, the engine will be turned off immediately after 2s after starting, which can be avoidedcarDriven away by unauthorized users.
2. Composition
(1) Equipped with a transponderCar key.
(2) The reading coil is installed outside the ignition lock.
(3) The anti-theft device control unit is installed on the left bracket of the steering column.
(4) The engine control unit with code skipping function is installed above the driver's leg.
(5) Anti-theft device warning light.
3. Working principle
The pulse transponder is a receiving and transmitting element that does not require a power supply. When the fireswitchWhen it is turned on, the reading coil will transmit energy to the transponder by induction. At this time, the pulse transponder will transmit the code immediately after receiving the energy. After receiving the energy through the reading coil, the code will be sent to the anti-theft device control unit, different key transponders There are different codes.
After receiving the code, the anti-theft device control unit shall compare whether it is consistent with the previously stored code. If it is consistent, the code will be sent to the engine control unit. The engine control unit compares with the previously stored code to see if it is consistent. If it is consistent, the engine will not stall after starting.
4. Code type
(1) The identification code of the anti-theft device control unit-there are 14 characters, and the fault can be usedDiagnostic instrumentVA G1551 or VAG1552 is called out.

(2) Anti-theft device password-a 4 digit code, located on the key tag sealed with vinyl paper or packed in a paper bag.If the password is lost, it can be from ShanghaipublicThe special service station will telex the 14-digit identification code to the after-sales service department of Shanghai Volkswagen Company, and then send the found password back to the special service station.
(3) Transponder code-After the key is matched, it is stored in the transponder and the anti-theft device control unit at the same time, which is an unknown 4-digit digital code.
(4) Code skipping of engine control unit--The engine control unit will generate a 4-digit random code every time it starts, which is stored in the engine control unit and the immobilizer control unit at the same time.
5. Reasons for engine stalling 2s after starting
(1) The transponder code is inconsistent with the stored code of the anti-theft control unit, or the transponder is damaged or lost.
(2) The code skipping between the anti-theft device control unit and the engine control unit is inconsistent.
(3) The anti-theft device system itself is faulty.
6. Match the key
Use V.AG551 or V.AG552 to perform the following operations:
1 (mode: fast data transfer) → 25 (address code: immobilizer) → 11 (function code: input immobilizer password) → 10 (function code: matching) → 21 or 01 (channel code: matching key).
Before matching, use VAG1551 to query and clear the fault code in the anti-theft device control unit. If there is a fault, it cannot be matched. After entering the anti-theft device password, VA G1551 displays "xxxx", use the numeric keys to enter the password, VA G1552 displays "xxx", and enter zero in the first digit. If the wrong password is entered, it is allowed to enter it again. If the control unit of the anti-theft device is locked due to two errors, the ignition switch can be turned on, and it takes about 30 minutes to enter it twice. For how to use VAG1551, please refer to other materials and operation prompts in the upper right corner of the prompt screen.
7. The anti-theft device control unit matches the engine control unit
This matching must be done after replacing the engine control unit: 1→25→10 (function code: matching)→00 (channel code: the immobilizer control unit matches the engine control unit)→06 (function code: exit this address code).
