HarvardIt is normal for the h6 engine to produce carbon deposits. All cars will have carbon deposits. A certain degree of carbon deposits is allowed. In daily driving, there are many situations that will aggravate the formation of carbon deposits. There are three main methods for cleaning up carbon deposits;
①Open tank cleaning
If you encounter excessively thick carbon deposits that have seriously affected the normal operation of the engine, you can only use this method as a last resort. However, if you go to a small workshop for construction, you must be careful because liquid cleaning agents are usually used to clean directly. There is no professional inspection to see if it is drained, and the liquid is incompressible, which will force the connecting rod to bend when the engine is running.
②Gasoline can also remove carbon
For engines with manifold injection, since gasoline itself is a good organic solvent, it can play a role in cleaning along the way and achieve a self-cleaning effect. The gasoline sprayed from the fuel injector enters the cylinder through the intake passage and intake valve. During the process, carbon deposits will be washed away and have a cleaning effect. In-cylinder direct injection engines inject fuel directly into the combustion chamber, so they will not clean the valves and intake passages, which are often the hardest hit areas for carbon deposits in direct injection engines. But now the oil in gas stations no longer contains cleaning additives, so the following method is needed to help remove carbon deposits.
③fuel additive
For carbon deposits in the cylinder that are not very serious, gas stations or 4S stores will usually introduce fuel additives to us. By pouring them into the fuel tank before refueling, the carbon deposits can be simply and roughly removed! Is it real
