How to disassemble the Xenia R7 throttle valve, and how to clean the Xenia R7 throttle valve

SenyaR7Throttle valve cleaning is relatively simple. After removing the intake pipe hose clamp, unplug the intake pipe! Use a clean cloth to wipe the throttle valve plate!

When operating alone:

1. Use your fingers to pull the valve plate, wipe the front side first, and then wipe the edge of the valve plate. As for the back side of the valve plate, wipe as much as you can! The pipe walls need to be wiped clean too!

2. As for the back of the valve plate, wipe it if you can. If you can’t, don’t force it! Since the air intake volume is controlled by the deflection angle of the valve plate, as long as the front edge (the joint with the pipe wall) is wiped clean, the air intake volume will not be affected!

3. As for whether you need to initialize the throttle, it depends on the dirt on your throttle! There is no need to initialize after cleaning when there is relatively little dirt. Because the dirt is relatively small, the opening ratio that the trip computer adjusts to the initial value and memorizes is very close to the opening ratio after wiping, so there is no possibility of engine idling shaking!

4. When there is a lot of dirt, the trip computer will automatically increase the opening ratio of the throttle valve based on the data of the oxygen sensor, and memorize the current opening value, so when the dirt is wiped clean, the throttle opening will be different from the original dirt. More often than not, it will cause engine idling jitter or abnormal acceleration, so initialization is required to erase the previous memory of the trip computer and restore it to the opening ratio when the throttle is clean!
