Open the engine cover and the position of the throttle is clearly visible. To remove the throttle, you must first remove the hose connecting the air filter to the throttle. The two ends of the hose are fixed with round iron hoops. There are screws on the iron hoops. Loosen the screws to remove the hose.

Here we suggest that if possible, you should first use a socket to tighten the screws, because the screwdriver can easily scratch the screws, and the socket is relatively safer.

After the screw is loosened, pull one end of the hose with both hands and push it back to remove the hose. Some car hoses may be infrequently disassembled or installed relatively tightly, so it is not easy to remove. Do not pull hard, as this can easily damage the hose. You can try to twist it left and right while exerting force, and then forcefully withdraw it after the whole thing is loose. The throttle can be seen after removing the hose.

There will be a plug next to the throttle that needs to be unplugged before removing the throttle. For vehicles that don't often remove the plug, the plug may be tight and difficult to remove. At this time, we can use a small screwdriver to pry around the plug. Once the whole thing is loose, it can be easily removed.

After removing the plug, the next step is to remove the throttle valve. The throttle is usually fixed with 4 screws. The upper two screws are easier to remove, but the lower screws are in an awkward position. We recommend removing the lower two screws that are difficult to remove first, so as not to make it more difficult to remove the lower screws due to the rocking of the throttle due to the upper screws being removed and not fixed when they are finally removed. Based on our experience, here we only need to use tools to loosen the screws. It will be more convenient to remove the screws by hand later, but be careful of the screws falling into the cabin.

After removing the 4 screws, you can take off the throttle. The exposed pipe is the air intake duct. It is not difficult to see from the picture below that there is obviously a lot of black carbon deposits in the air intake of our demo car, but we will introduce its cleaning in the future. Here we remind you that after removing the throttle, it is best to cover the entrance of the air intake with newspapers and other objects to prevent debris from entering.
