Brake pad replacement method

note

1. When the thinnest part of the friction layer of the brake pads wears to 2.5-3.0mm or an alarm model is issued, it is necessary to replace the new brake pads in time.

2. Before assembling the brake pads, first check the surface of the brake disc. If it is severely worn, repair it. If the amount of wear on the disc surface exceeds the specified value, replace the brake disc.

3. The brake pads on both sides of the same axle must be replaced at the same time, otherwise it will cause partial braking.

Disassembly, replacement, installation

1. After loosening the nuts on the front wheels slightly, raise the vehicle and use the jack to lift the vehicle support.

Note: Please confirm whether the hose and the cap are damaged or aging.

2. After loosening the caliper screw, lift the caliper up.

3. Remove the brake pads, springs, and brake pads.

4. After cleaning the calipers and removing dust, check whether there are grooves or cracks.

5. Check for cracks or damage on the brake disc.

6. Install the brake pad spring.

7. How to use the brake pad oil bag and precautions:

Apply grease to the areas where the two ends of the steel back of the brake pads match the brake caliper, and where the steel back contacts the brake caliper piston.

Never contaminate grease on the friction block.

8. Install the brake pads and shock absorbing pads correctly.

9. If you push in the direction of the piston, the caliper will be adjusted above the brake pads. After resetting the caliper, check that the piston cover is in place to prevent damage.

10. After resetting the caliper, install the screws and tighten.

11. Depress the brake pedal several times to check whether it is braking, then check on the road.

Tip: After replacing the brake pads, a large pedal pressure is required for the braking reaction. The brake pedal of most models will return to normal pedal pressure.

12. After installation, please make sure that there are no leaks in the hose or the wiring.

New brake pad stabilization method

1. Please accelerate to 60KM per hour.

2. Press the brake pedal and decelerate to a speed of 10KM per hour.

3. Repeat the above method 10 times.

Analysis of common brake failures

First, the vibration caused by braking.

1. Distortion of brake friction lining or brake disc 2. Uneven thickness of brake disc.

3. Uneven wear of brake friction lining 4. Deformation or improper installation of brake caliper.

Second, the phenomenon of noise generated during braking

1. Resonance or mutual interference of related parts of suspension system 2. Improper use or deformation of brake disc material.

3. The hardness, porosity, and compression characteristics of the brake pads are unqualified.

4. Moisture and rust of brake pads and brake discs 5. Material matching problem of brake friction pads.

Third, braking hysteresis

1. The brake return spring fails. 2. The gap between the brake friction plate and the brake disc is improper or the cooperation is too tight.

3. Thermal expansion of brake friction plate.

Fourth, insufficient braking performance

1.Insufficient contact between friction plate and mating parts 2.Insufficient brake fluid.

3.Brake line seal failure and leakage 4.Brake gap is too large.

5. Friction plate oil pollution 6. The brake temperature is too high.
