1. How to distinguish true and false xenon lamps
The performance of the fake xenon lamp is generally as follows: First of all, the temperature is high, and some lamps are burnt due to high temperature, and there are also lamp holders that are melted. Secondly, the effect is poor. Compared with HID, the brightness is not enough and the color is poor. Moreover, it consumes a lot of power, it needs to use an enhanced cable, and the idling will be unstable after being installed.Therefore, it is necessary to keep your eyes open during the purchase process, and the cost performance is poor. Because of the large power consumption, the high idle speed and the high fuel consumption, some need to be replaced with imported products.Spark plugIn order to ensure the power supply system. Therefore, it is necessary to keep your eyes open during the purchase process and choose the xenon lamp with guaranteed quality, so that superior results can be achieved.
2. How to distinguish the quality of HID
At present, there are many HID brands on the market, and most of them are produced in Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Germany and China, and the key to quality is the booster and bulb. The specific method is:
First, start-up time, a good HID lamp can reach 25% of the stable luminous flux within 1 second, and 80% of the stable luminous flux within 4 seconds, and those below this standard must be carefully selected;
Second, look at the hot start time. Within 15 seconds after the lamp is extinguished, some boosters can reach 80% of the maximum brightness within 1 second after the lamp is energized, and there is almost no delay, while some boosters are It takes a delay of 3-5 seconds to make the bulb reach 80% of the maximum brightness.Of course, the quality of the booster with less delay is better. When the booster and the bulb are in normal working condition, you can do it repeatedly.switchGood quality boosters generally work normally. Some boosters will light up abnormally, and the bulb will turn on and the other will not turn on. You must cut off the power and turn it on again. Consumers should pay attention to this when buying. ;
Third, the working mode of the booster: The current working mode of the booster is divided into two types, namely constant current and constant power, and the latter is the correct design that can provide the long life of the HID. A brand-new HID bulb, one of the electrodes The distance between the two electrodes is 4.2mm. If you want to generate a jump arc between the two electrodes (the scientific name is frame arc), you must apply a voltage of 23000V at both ends of the electrode (the working voltage will drop to 70-100V after lighting) , But as the number of lighting times and time increase, the distance between the two electrodes will become longer and farther, and the operating voltage to maintain the arc jump will gradually increase from 85V to 102V. The constant current booster will continue to supply a stable operating current, but as the HID tube pressure increases, the overall output power (according to the formula P=V1) will gradually increase from the rated 35W to 40W, and the extra power is light. It will cause the bulb holder to melt, and it will burn the bulb or the booster! The booster with constant power output will not have this concern;
Fourth, there are generally two types of boosters on the market; two-type and one-type, and the one-type is more convenient to install.
3. How to distinguish the quality of the bulb?
The quality of HID bulbs is very different. There are many small factories that use patents produced by others. However, because there are no excellent production conditions, the light intensity of the produced bulbs decays quickly and the lifespan is very short. After 500 hours of work, the attenuation reaches 30-50%, and the usual industry standard is that the light intensity attenuation after 2250 hours is less than 30%. This is mainly because the technical requirements of HID bulbs are produced in an oxygen-free environment, and the oxygen content must be less than 0.5PPM (parts per million 0.5), otherwise the electrode will quickly oxidize, the light intensity will drop, and the color temperature will also change. At present, there are only a few domestic manufacturers that meet this requirement. Please carefully check the bulb manufacturers before choosing and installing.
4. There are currently 4300K, 5000K, 6000K, 8000K, and even 12000K on the market. Which one is better?
4300K,
5000K, 6000K, 8000K, 12000K refer to the color temperature of the light emitted by the bulb. The so-called color temperature refers to the light color at which it presents. Usually people have a misunderstanding that the higher the K number, the higher the brightness. In fact, The unit of brightness is lumens (lm), and the brightness of HID is generally around 3200 lumens. Due to the limitation of process technology, the brightness of HID lamps with higher K numbers also has a small decrease. 4300K is white with a little yellow. 5000K is white and bright, 6000K is white with a little blue, 8000K is relatively blue, and 12000K is already cyan. And we know that the darker the color, the worse the penetration. The 12000K irradiation effect is the worst. Although 8000K is very dazzling, the irradiation effect is relatively poor, so it is not recommended; the color of 6000K is more dazzling and not very glaring. It is recommended to use 5000K. It is bright, recommended. 4300K has the best irradiation effect and the best penetrating power. It is recommended, especially in areas where there are more rainy and foggy days.
5. It is better to install the HID lamp on the low beam or the high beam?
The HID lamp itself is to increase driving safety. If you install it on the high beam, when you turn on the high beam, it will dazzle the other party's vehicle, causing the other party's insecurity, and also your own insecurity, so it is recommended to install it Install it on the low beam headlight for HID. Some users choose to install on the high beam because of their needs. When meeting with the opposite car, remember to turn off the high beam and don't shake the other side straight! This is also the most basic driving quality for driving.
6. Is the imported lamp necessarily better than the domestic HID lamp?
No, the car xenon metal halide lamp is a high-tech product. In order to produce the car xenon metal halide lamp whose performance meets the requirements of the standard, there must be extremely sophisticated production equipment, various raw materials of extremely strict composition and purity, and extremely clean Production environment and superb process technology, large multinational companies have such conditions, and a few domestic enterprises have such conditions!
The standard stipulates that when the color temperature is 4100K, the luminous flux of the light should be 3200+-450Lm. There are no regulations on other color temperatures, but the decrease in light flux is inevitable when the color temperature rises. Only a few HID lamps on the market meet the above standards. The rest are far apart. The luminous flux of some company's products only reaches 60%-80% of the target value, and the color temperature dispersion is very large.
Only manufacturers with good conditions can produce truly long-life xenon metal halide lamps. The luminous flux of some manufacturers’ xenon metal halide lamps will drop by 30-40% after being ignited for 500-600 hours, and the color temperature will also increase significantly. High or low. This is mainly due to the introduction of water vapor and other impurities in the production process.
