Brake pads are very important parts of a car. Sometimes there will be abnormal noises when stepping on the brake pads, and sometimes there will be abnormal noises even if the brake pads are not stepped on. This is annoying to many car owners. What is going on? The following are the reasons for the abnormal noise of the brake pads and the solutions.

①. The new film is loaded on the old disk. The old disk generally has grooves.

Solution: It can be solved by chamfering the periphery of the brake pad or the disc.

②. The new film is installed on a new disc, the flatness of the new disc or the new film is too large, the disc and the film are not running well, or it is rubbed to one side to cause noise.

Solution: After the car has used the brake for a period of time, the disc and the film can be well matched. If the flatness is severely too large, it needs to be reinstalled.

③ The brake cylinder is not in good position, and the organic materials of the brake pads volatilize in advance by dragging the brake, causing abnormal noise after the car has been used for a period of time.

Solution: Check the maintenance of the sub-cylinder and check whether the brake pads are in good condition. If there are burnt pads, replace the brake pads.

④. During driving, sand and rocks enter the gap and make a sound of friction.

Solution: Remove the brake pads and clean the sand inside. If there is a small amount of residue, it will wear away naturally after a period of use.

⑤, the brake pads will have low-frequency abnormal noise when the car is cold or at low speed. In the rainy season and humid environment, the disk and the film form an oxide layer, which is prone to abnormal noise.

Solution: The car can brake multiple times and the abnormal noise will be eliminated.

⑥. When the car is cold in the morning, abnormal noise can sometimes be heard without stepping on the brake.

Solution: Generally, models without brake return springs have some such problems, and the abnormal noise will be eliminated after several brakes.

⑦. There will be abnormal noise when reversing the brake, because most of the brake work is forward driving, and some brake pads will cause some burrs, so when reversing the brake, the burr and the brake disc friction produce abnormal noise.

Solution: This situation can be left unresolved, or it can be removed and polished.

⑧, friction material material problem.

Solution: Brake pads are generally made of semi-metallic materials. Friction between the brake pads and the brake pads can easily cause abnormal noise. Replace the brake pads with appropriate and good quality in time.
