The mainstream cleaning methods of three-way catalysis are as follows:

1, Additive cleaning:

Additive cleaning is to add a special three-way catalytic cleaning agent to the fuel tank. When the vehicle is started, the cleaning agent will enter the combustion chamber along with the gasoline, and finally be discharged through the exhaust pipe and exhaust gas. The cleaning agent will perform a certain cleaning effect on it.

Advantages of this method: affordable and easy to operate; disadvantages: the cleaning effect is very limited.

2, Bottle cleaning:

Slinging is currently the most mainstream, and it is also a cleaning method strongly promoted by 4S shops and repair shops. In this way, a hose is connected to the engine vacuum tube, and the cleaning agent in the suspension bottle is sucked into the engine by the negative pressure in the hollow tube, and the three-way catalyst is cleaned when it is discharged with the exhaust pipe.

Advantages of this method: easy to use, better cleaning ability; disadvantages: more expensive.

3. Disassembly and cleaning:

Disassembly and cleaning need to completely disassemble the three-way catalyst and soak and clean with oxalic acid. This method has the best cleaning effect, but the operation is troublesome, time-consuming and laborious, and many 4S shops and repair shops are unwilling to provide disassembly and washing services.
