The blade battery, which is about 1 meter long, allows an error within 0.3 mm. The main production processes of blade batteries, such as material mixing and coating, stamping, and testing, will be produced in accordance with strict safety standards.

Factory 1 produces one battery cell every 6 seconds, while Factory 2, which improves efficiency, produces 1 battery cell every 3 seconds. The sales volume of batteries produced here reaches 20 billion yuan.

According to a source from the factory, "Most of the blade battery materials are purchased by ourselves, and the production efficiency is the highest in the world. There are more than 600 patents, and they are all completed through BYD's independently developed equipment and researchers."

The biggest advantage of blade batteries is safety. BYD has demonstrated more than once acupuncture experiments using nails to penetrate LFP blade batteries and ternary lithium batteries.

When the nail penetrated the lithium battery, the electrolyte spurted out, causing a thermal explosion with soaring fire. Blade batteries that do not use any electrolyte will have no reaction and will not catch fire even if a nail penetrates them.
