1. There are 3 different color links on the timing chain, of which 2 are silver-gray plated with chrome, and one is brown-yellow with copper plated. Align the timing mark on the balance shaft sprocket on the intake side with the copper-plated link.

2. Turn the timing chain clockwise to align the chrome-plated chain link with the timing mark on the balance shaft drive sprocket on the crankshaft. After alignment, the chrome-plated chain link will be at about 6 o'clock.

3. Place a timing chain on the water pump drive sprocket and adjust the last chrome-plated chain link so that the timing mark on the exhaust side balance shaft drive sprocket is aligned with it.

4. Install the balance shaft timing chain guide plate and bolts. The bolt tightening torque is 15N·m. Install the small guide plate and bolts of the balance shaft timing chain. The bolt tightening torque is 15N·m. Install the balance shaft timing chain adjustable guide plate and bolts. The bolt tightening torque is 10N·m.

5. Rotate the plunger of the balance shaft timing chain hydraulic tensioner 90° in its hole and compress the plunger, turn the tensioner back to the original 12 o'clock position, and insert one through the hole of the plunger body Attach a paper clip and insert it into the plunger of the tensioner.

6. Install the balance shaft timing chain tensioner and bolts. The bolt tightening torque is 10N·m. Remove the paper clip from the balance shaft timing chain tensioner.
