Is it necessary to replace the spark plug in a 4s shop?

It is not difficult to replace the spark plug. There is a certain amount of hands-on ability, and it can be replaced by yourself. There is no need to go to the 4s shop to replace such small parts, and it can also save man-hours. To replace the spark plug, you need to prepare disassembly and assembly tools, including 10mm, 14mm, 16mm sockets, long extension rods, ratchet wrenches, magnets, towels, etc.

How to change the spark plug

1. Pull out the plug of the high-voltage package after the engine is completely cooled, and then remove the fixing bolts with a 10mm sleeve. After removing the high-voltage package, you can see the spark plug in the cylinder;

2. According to the size of the spark plug nut, choose a 14mm or 16mm sleeve with the long extension rod to rotate counterclockwise to loosen it, and then use a magnet to suck out the spark plug after loosening;

3. After taking out the spark plug, if the new spark plug cannot be installed in time, insert the high-voltage package back or plug the hole of the spark plug with a clean cloth to avoid dirt from falling in;

4. Use a magnet to attract the new spark plug and plug it into the hole to tighten it. It should be noted that the torque of the upper spark plug should not be too large, about 20N·m;

5. Start the engine after replacing all the spark plugs to see if the spark plugs are working properly.

When the car has difficulty in starting, weak acceleration, idling jitter, unexplained flameout, etc., it may be that the spark plug has a problem and needs to be inspected in time. If the carbon deposit is serious, it needs to be replaced. There are many kinds of materials for automobile spark plugs, and the service life of different materials is different, and the replacement cycle is also different. Ordinary nickel alloy spark plugs may need to be replaced once for about 20,000 kilometers. This kind of spark plugs are often used in low- and medium-sized models, and domestic models are more commonly used. Some precious metal spark plugs will have a longer life. At present, platinum spark plugs are widely used, which have strong stability and are generally replaced once every 60,000 kilometers. Another iridium spark plug has a longer life than platinum spark plugs, and can be replaced after 80,000 kilometers.
