How to maintain the brake pads and extend their using life-cycle?

For the maintenance of the brake pads, the most direct and helpful mean is timely replacement and learn to drive using the engine brake. However, due to each driver uses the pedal in different frequency and intensity, it is hard to define how long it will take to be changed. Generally, when the using mileage is about 25,000 – 30,000 km, it is time to change it.
