Our generation has a bit of "mechanical sentiment" to some extent. This is simply the "crematorium" of the DPF. Once blocked, the power seems to be strangled, and the fuel consumption takes off immediately. At this time, you have to go for a high-speed "regeneration". If it still fails, you will have to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to dismantle, clean or even replace it.

Why do we spend more than ten or two hundred thousand to buy a car? The deeper logic lies in the preservation of asset value. This is the real knife that stabs our arteries.

The current used car market is extremely realistic. The car dealer shook his head like a rattle when he heard that it was a domestic diesel version. Even if you reluctantly charge it, the price is at least 30% lower than the same gasoline car. If you drive it for three to five years, you may lose more money when selling the car than all the gas money you have saved in the past few years combined. Coupled with the restriction policies on diesel vehicles in many urban core areas, buying this car is like putting a curse on yourself. You have to read the road signs wherever you go.

Big Brother is right, hardcore off-roaders play diesel for extreme survival; trucks play diesel for Dora to run fast and make money. But for our household transportation, our core demands are peace of mind, smoothness, and value preservation.

Never try to use tactical diligence (fuel saving) to cover up strategic laziness (choosing the wrong car).

In this era where hybrids and pure electric vehicles are running on the streets, diesel family cars are marginalized. This is not a regression of technology, but an awakening of the market. Car companies stopped production because no one bought them; no one bought them because everyone finally got over it.

Life is tiring enough. We buy cars to serve our lives, not to bring trouble and provide for them. If you don’t have special needs like running to construction sites and walking across the desert every day, listen to my advice and honestly choose a gasoline car or a hybrid. Don’t waste your time, money, and good mood for that “illusory fuel economy.”
