If the battery is not used for a long time, the negative terminal of the battery should be removed. When the negative pole of the battery is disconnected, all electrical appliances in the vehicle will be disconnected, avoiding the phenomenon of battery discharge. If you choose to disconnect the positive electrode of the battery, the discharge of the electrical appliance cannot be completely cut off, because some electrical appliances have a capacitive part, and the discharge can be performed as long as the current reaches the negative electrode.

The car battery is a component with a long life. The owner and friend should do the following when using the vehicle:

1. Pay attention to firm installation and clean maintenance. The installation is firm to prevent the vibration of the car during driving from causing damage to the internal plates of the battery and loosening of the external wires. The second is to always clear the dust, muddy water on the battery, as well as the oxides on the terminals and wire ends, and the electrolyte overflowing from the filling port. Keep it clean and dry to prevent the battery from self-discharging.

2. Pay attention to charging in time. When the voltage of the battery is insufficient, the lights are dim, and the engine is weak to start, it should be supplemented outside the car in time. If the vehicle fails to start on the road, seek other vehicles for electricity. The power connection is only for the connection between the batteries, and cannot be directly connected to the engine starter, otherwise the ignition system and other electrical components will be damaged.

3. Regularly check the battery status. For example, whether there are cracks in the battery shell and leakage of electrolyte; check whether the battery connection is firm; prevent sparks from causing battery explosion; check the density and liquid height of the battery electrolyte, check the discharge level of the battery, and prevent early retirement due to overdischarge, etc. .
