What is the normal voltage of the car battery?

It is normal for the voltage of most car batteries to be around 13 volts, but the load voltage must be greater than 11 volts, because once the load voltage is lower than 11 volts, the engine may not start at any time. Or cause difficulty in starting the vehicle. And for vehicles with different voltage coefficients, the no-load voltage and load voltage are all different, and the value will fluctuate slightly.

The voltage no-load and load of different car series are different

1. The no-load voltage of a 12-volt car battery is about 13 volts, and the load voltage is not lower than 11 volts. If it is lower than 11 volts, it is likely to cause difficulty in starting the vehicle as mentioned in paragraph 1.

2. The no-load voltage of a 24-volt car battery is around 26 volts, and its load voltage cannot be lower than 22 volts. Once the load voltage is lower than 22 volts, the vehicle will also have difficulty starting or fail to start.

Taking a 12-volt car as an example, in the normal state of the car, as mentioned above, the no-load voltage should be 13 volts, and the load voltage should not be lower than 11 volts. Once the generator of this type of vehicle starts to generate electricity, the battery voltage of the car should be between 13 volts and 14 volts during the starting process. Only between 13 volts and 14 volts is a normal value, and it is easy to cause the battery to use up too quickly.

Therefore, car owners can judge the voltage of their battery according to the voltage of their car series. The most important thing to pay attention to is the load voltage and the voltage after starting. After all, the generator needs to charge the battery after starting. If it does not reach 13 If there is a fluctuation between 14 volts and 14 volts, it is likely that the battery cannot be charged. At this time, timely repairs and maintenance are required.
