It is normal for white smoke to come out of the exhaust port of the vehicle in cold weather. When the weather is cold, after the vehicle is turned on, hot gas will be ejected from the exhaust pipe, and the hot gas will condense into small water droplets when it hits the cold exhaust pipe or the cold air outside the exhaust pipe, forming mist.

Water mist is the white smoke we usually see. Water mist is generally formed inside the exhaust pipe and will adhere to the inner wall of the exhaust pipe. When the gas flow rate of the exhaust pipe is fast, the water mist will be sprayed out together with the gas. If the exhaust pipe of the vehicle does not emit white smoke, but blue smoke, then you need to pay attention, indicating that there is a phenomenon of burning oil at this time. Burning engine oil means that the engine oil enters the engine and burns together with the mixed oil, which will cause the car's oxygen sensor to be damaged too quickly, and will also lead to increased carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, increased fuel consumption, and even serious damage to the engine, which is difficult to repair. Burning oil is more likely to happen in cold weather. If it is a diesel engine, if there is too much water in the diesel, the exhaust pipe will also emit gray-white smoke.
