When to use headlights

Generally, when a car drives on a road with poor road lighting conditions, the car needs to turn on the high beam, such as a highway, but it needs to switch to the low beam when intersecting with other vehicles, and then return to the use of the high beam.

Cars driving at night do not use high beams according to the regulations, which will interfere with the vision of surrounding vehicles and cause safety hazards. National law stipulates that when driving on roads without central isolation facilities, low beams should be used when passing non-motorized vehicles on narrow roads. High beams cannot be used at intersections controlled by traffic signals. Because the light of the high beam is strong, which brings a short-term dizzy effect to the eyes, it is generally not allowed to use the high beam when driving in urban areas. When overtaking at night, the high beam and low beam should be used alternately to remind the vehicle in front.
