What are the symptoms of a broken starter?

When the starter of the car is broken, there will be problems such as failure to start, difficulty in starting, unstable idle speed, easy flameout, insufficient power, weak acceleration, increased fuel consumption and excessive emissions, mainly because of the starting system, fuel supply system and ignition system. And the control system is caused by damage to the starter.

When the car is connected to the start switch, it is found that the starter is rotating at a high speed but the engine crankshaft does not respond, which means that there is a fault in the transmission mechanism of the engine, most likely caused by the wear of the transmission gear or the one-way clutch. If the starter does not work normally and the drive gear does not rotate, it may be caused by a failure of the power supply, a burnt contact plate of the start switch, or excessive engine resistance. If the power output of the starter motor is not enough to drive the crankshaft, it may be caused by a short circuit of the coil or a power loss of the battery. If the sound of the starter is very harsh, it may be caused by the one-way clutch being stuck or the starter being installed incorrectly. And if there is a rattling sound when the starter is switched on and off, but it is not in working condition, it should be caused by a disconnected coil or a severe battery loss.
