Most electric vehicles use disc brake pumps, and depending on the situation, different methods can be used to bleed air.
1. Exhaust air from the upper pump:
This method is required when the electric vehicle is equipped with disc brakes with upper and lower pumps.
- First, make sure the oil tank of the upper pump is fullBrake Fluid.
- Then, pinch the brake pad and release it several times until bubbles appear in the oil tank of the upper pump and a small amount of brake oil splashes out from the oil pump. This indicates that the air in the front disc brake has been removed.
2. Remove the air from the lower pump:

- Observe whether the brake fluid in the upper pump box is sufficient. If not, you need to add enough brake fluid.
- Find the lower screws, there are two larger screws, one is the main oil inlet and the other is the main oil outlet.
- Unscrew the small screw, let a few drops of brake fluid drip out, and then tighten the small screw. This means that the air under the rear disc brake has been removed.
2. How to exhaust air from the hydraulic brake system:
The presence of air in the hydraulic brake system will affect braking performance, so air bleeding operation is required.
1. Add enoughbrake fluidto the oil storage cup.
2. Repeatedly hold and release the brake handle. It is best to hold it until the end without releasing it.
3. Loosen the oil drain bolt above the brake to allow part of the brake fluid and air to drain from the bolt.
4. Tighten the oil drain bolt and check whether the oil level in the oil storage cup is too low. If necessary, replenish brake fluid and repeat the above steps.
5. Hold the brake lever all the way again without loosening it, and continue to loosen the oil drain bolt.
6. Observe whether there is still air in the discharged brake fluid. If not, tighten the oil drain bolt. This means that the air purging operation is complete.
