Should I change the brake fluid if the water content is 3%?

The gas can be compressed, which will make the braking stroke longer and the braking response slower or even malfunctioning. Such a situation poses a serious threat to driving safety.

In addition, failure to replace brake fluid for a long time may also cause corrosion problems in the braking system. Corrosion can impair the normal operation of the brake system and cause potential hazards to driving safety. Therefore, when the moisture content of the brake fluid exceeds 3%, it is recommended to replace the brake fluid in time to ensure the safety and reliability of driving.

Then, adjust the detector to the standard light position and fully insert it into the brake fluid to be tested.

After pressing the red button for a few seconds, judge the quality of the brake fluid according to the color of the working indicator light. The green light indicates that the moisture content of the brake fluid is less than 0.5% and can be used normally; the yellow light indicates that the moisture content is higher than 0.5% and requires close observation; and the red light indicates that the moisture content has seriously exceeded the standard and the brake fluid must be replaced immediately.
