Automobile paint is generally composed of three parts: electrolytic paint, primer and color paint. The varnish layer has two functions: one is to increase the brightness and reflectance of the paint, and the other is to protect the color paint layer. Its characteristics have the following four points:

1. The varnish is beautiful and has high gloss, but it is prone to scratches. If you wipe the car with a slightly stiff towel or suede after washing the car, you will find hair scratches.

3. Varnish generally contains protection function to reduce ultraviolet radiation (color paint does not include this function). As long as the varnish layer is intact, it can effectively delay the aging (fading) of the color paint.

4. Varnishes are more susceptible to environmental pollution than ordinary paints. The sources of harmful substances include: carbon black, carbon dioxide emitted from vehicle exhaust, and sundries falling in aircraft aviation oil, such as acid rain, acid mist, and acid snow. Once these debris falls on the car, plus the moisture in the air, it becomes an acidic solution that corrodes the varnish. As soon as it heats up (ultraviolet rays in the sun), a chemical reaction begins to erode the protective layer of car paint. Once or twice is not obvious, but if you do not take care for a long time, eventually this chemical reaction will erode the color layer, primer layer and metal.

Car wax, What are the differences between glaze sealing and coating products?

For the protection of car paint surfaces, especially varnish layers, various products have appeared on the market. Generally speaking, paint surface protection products work through the following two principles of graphic representation:

After the film-forming components in the product form a film on the surface of the car paint, the wax or glaze molecules will penetrate into the gaps of the paint surface, while the coated product will form a strong protective film on the ordinary film-forming components. So, as a paint protection product, what are the differences between car wax, sealing glaze and coating products?

Car wax: Car wax is a traditional car paint surface protection product. It uses natural or synthetic wax as the main component. According to the chemical composition and source, it can be subdivided into animal wax, vegetable wax, mineral wax and synthetic wax. The wax penetrates into the cracks of the paint surface to smooth the surface and increase the brightness. In order to achieve a better light effect, the wax layer needs to be thicker, but this often affects the color of the car paint. Moreover, the durability of car wax is poor, and the original bright effect will be lost after a few rains.

Sealing glaze: Sealing glaze is a new concept derived from car wax. It is a petroleum product extracted from petroleum by-products. The sealing glaze uses soft wool or sponge through the high-speed vibration and friction of the vibratory polishing machine to strongly penetrate the glaze molecules into the gaps of the car surface paint, thereby playing a beautiful and protective role for the car paint. But whether this method itself will cause damage to the paint is still a question that needs to be considered. Compared with wax molecules, the sealing glaze molecules have the characteristics of higher surface hardness and good adhesion to the paint surface, so the durability is better than that of car wax. However, because the glaze molecules are small, they cannot fully fill the gaps in the paint surface, and the brightness of the glaze is also low.

Coating: Its products are mainly composed of one or more of glass cellulose, specially modified silicon/fluoropolymer and other substances, which are coated on the paint surface to completely isolate the car paint from the outside world.
