Nowadays, lead-acid batteries are widely used in large, medium and small UPS power supplies, and they are generally replaced every 2-3 years. The charging method of lead-acid batteries is very important. The correct charging method can effectively extend the service life of the battery. However, different types of lead-acid batteries have different charging methods in different application scenarios and different depths of discharge.

Lead-acid batteries need to be charged with the original charger, and the charger must match the battery configured. To develop the habit of charging on the same day of use, you need to fully charge it after use every day. If you wait until the electricity is used up before charging, the battery life will be shortened due to "deep discharge". In addition, because the charger will generate a certain amount of heat during battery charging, it is recommended to charge in an open and ventilated place. It is strictly forbidden to cover the charger with foreign objects during charging, otherwise it will easily damage the charger and battery, or even cause a fire accident.

The first charge of the battery is very important, which will affect the service life and charge capacity of the battery. Generally, it takes about 45-65 hours to charge the battery for the first time. First use the initial current to charge until the electrolyte releases bubbles, so that the single cell voltage of the battery rises to 2.3-2.4V. Then continue to charge the current to 1/2 of the initial current until the electrolyte is violently bubbling, and the voltage should be kept stable for 3 hours.
