What’s wrong with the oil in the spark plug

In fact, the problem of oil can be divided into many situations, and it is not necessary to replace the spark plug. Let's analyze it in detail below.

First of all, the spark plug has oil stains. The most common reason is the aging of the valve cover gasket. This component seals the engine lubricating oil. When it ages, naturally there will be lubricating oil on the spark plug. The second is the quality problem of the spark plug (clearance misalignment or short circuit), and the oil dirt enters from the thread, and a new spark plug needs to be replaced. However, if there is oiliness between the top of the spark plug and the electrode, it means that the cylinder is leaking oil, which has nothing to do with the spark plug.
