The air filter element generally has a service life of 10,000 to 20,000 kilometers, which is greatly affected by the driving environment. If the environment is poor, it needs to be replaced in advance. If the air filter element is not changed for 30,000 or 40,000 kilometers, it mainly depends on the use of the air filter element. It is best not to change it for a long time, or to replace it within the specified time.

If the air filter element is not replaced for a long time, the particles in the air cannot be effectively filtered, and the engine will accelerate wear and carbon deposits, shorten the service life of the engine, and may even cause the cylinder to be pulled. Therefore, the air filter element should be replaced regularly to protect it. engine.

Air filter replacement steps

1. Open the hood and take out the air filter element. Generally, its position is on the left side of the engine, that is, the position above the left front wheel. The air filter element is installed in a black plastic box, and there are two ways to install the air filter element, screw fixing and snap fixing. The snap-in type is easier to take out. You can take it out by gently lifting the two metal clips upward; while the screw-fixed type requires unscrewing the screws on the air filter cartridge, and then take out the air filter.

2. After taking out the air filter element, remove the carbon deposits, dust, etc. inside and outside the air filter element box. Use a rag to remove the dust, remember not to rinse with clean water.

3. When installing a new air filter element, distinguish the front and back sides. There is a raised plastic sheet on the right under the air filter element to prevent the installation of the reverse air filter element. When installing the air filter, the plastic sheet must be inserted into the slot of the filter seat to be installed in place.

4. Finally, install the other components.
