When the car lacks refrigerant, the cooling effect of the air conditioner will become worse, and most of the reason for the lack of refrigerant is due to leakage, which is more or less in every car. At this time, it is necessary to check whether there is a leak, and then refill the car refrigerant after maintenance. Let's take a look at the method of filling the refrigerant for automobiles.

There are two methods for filling automobile refrigerant: it can be filled from the high-pressure end, or it can be filled from the low-pressure end. The two methods are also very different due to the different state of charging the refrigerant. The high-pressure end is filled with liquid refrigerant, which is suitable for filling after the first leak detection and vacuuming. Note that this method requires the engine to be stopped and the refrigerant tank needs to be inverted; the other is low pressure The end is filled with gas, the filling speed is slow, and it is usually the use method of supplementary refrigerant.

Steps of the method for filling refrigerant on the high-pressure side:

1. After the system is evacuated, close the high and low pressure manual valves on the manifold pressure gauge.

2. Connect one end of the middle hose to the joint of the refrigerant tank injection valve. Open the refrigerant tank opening valve, unscrew the nut on the end of the manifold pressure gauge hose, let the gas escape for a few minutes, and then tighten the nut.

3. Unscrew the manual valve on the high-pressure side to the fully open position, and turn the refrigerant tank upside down.

4. Inject a specified amount of liquid refrigerant from the high-pressure side. Close the refrigerant tank injection valve and the high-pressure manual valve on the manifold pressure gauge, and then remove the gauge. When adding refrigerant to the system from the high-pressure side, the engine is off. Do not unscrew the low-pressure manual valve on the manifold pressure gauge to prevent hydraulic shock.

Steps of the method for filling refrigerant at the low pressure end:

1. First connect the manifold pressure gauge with the compressor and refrigeration tank

2. Open the refrigerant tank, loosen the nut of the middle injection hose on the manifold pressure gauge until you hear the sound of refrigerant vapor flowing, and then tighten the nut to discharge the air in the injection hose.

3. Open the low-pressure manual valve to let the refrigerant enter the refrigeration system. When the system pressure reaches 0.4MPa, close the low-pressure manual valve.

4. Start the engine, turn on the air conditioner switch, and adjust both the blower switch and the temperature control switch to maximum.

5. Open the manual valve on the pressure gauge of the manifold and let the refrigerant continue to enter the refrigeration system until the filling amount reaches the specified value.

6. After filling the specified amount of refrigerant into the system, observe from the sight glass, if there are no bubbles, it indicates that the filling is complete.

The fluoride pressure of general automobile air conditioner is 150-250kpa at low pressure and 1300-1500kpa at high pressure. After the fluorine filling is completed, close the low-pressure manual valve on the manifold pressure gauge, close the injection valve installed on the refrigerant tank, stop the engine, and remove the manifold pressure gauge from the compressor. The action should be rapid when removing , So as not to leak too much refrigerant.
