Does the new battery need to be charged, and how to charge it for the first time

Generally, a new battery will have a certain amount of power when it leaves the factory, but the power will not be too full. If the battery’s production date is recent and has not been tried, it can be used directly without charging; if the battery’s production date is relatively long or has been tried, then Need to recharge. However, it is recommended to charge the new battery first, and the first charge of the new battery is very important.

The first charge of a new battery affects the service life and charge capacity of the battery. If the charge is insufficient, the battery charge capacity is not high, which will reduce the service life; but if the battery is overcharged, although the electrical performance of the battery is good, it will also shorten its use. Life expectancy, so the new battery must master the time of the first charge.

For the first charge of a new battery, first charge it with the initial current (current is one-tenth of the battery capacity) until the electrolyte bubbling, so that the single cell voltage of the battery rises to 2.3-2.4V. Then use half of the initial current to continue charging until the electrolyte is violently bubbling, and the voltage should be kept stable for 3 hours. Generally, after the charger jumps the light, continue charging for 1-2 hours, and the charging time is about 8-10 hours. Do not overcharge, otherwise it will affect the battery life.
