1. First, we need to check the gap between the wheel speed sensor and the ring gear. The normal standard value of the front wheel is 1.10-1.97mm, while the rear wheel is 0.42-0.80mm. If the gap is too large, it will directly affect the collection of the wheel speed sensor and the accuracy of the data.
2. Then go to check the output voltage part. Raise the car to lift the tires off the ground and release the parking brake.
3. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor harness connector, and then directly measure it.
4. Rotate the wheels at a speed of 1r/s revolutions per second and measure the output voltage with a multimeter. The normal range of the front wheel is 190-1140mV, while the rear wheel needs to be greater than 650mV. If it meets the standard, it means that the wheel speed sensor is working normally at this time.
Don’t underestimate the problem of wheel speed sensor failure. Once it fails, it will not only cause the engine idling instability and acceleration performance degradation, but also when the vehicle starts or decelerates and stops during driving, it is easy to stop instantly.
