The battery tester is an instrument for measuring the capacity of the battery. There are two types of battery detectors. One is for small current discharge. Adjust the discharge current and observe the discharge time to determine the capacity of the battery. The other is rapid detection, which uses a large current to discharge the battery and observe whether the discharge voltage is lower than 9.6v to judge whether the battery is good or bad. The steps to use the battery tester to detect the quality of the battery are:

1. Connect the battery detector to the battery for 10 to 15 seconds during use, and if the voltage is maintained between 10.5 and 11.6v, it means that there is no problem with the battery and the battery is sufficient;

2. If the voltage is between 9.6 and 10.5v, it means there is no problem with the battery, but the battery is insufficient;

3. If the voltage is below 9.6v, there is a problem with the battery or the battery is seriously insufficient.

How to use the battery tester:

1. After the positive and negative poles of the output line are connected, connect the positive pole to the positive pole of the battery, and the negative stage to the negative stage of the battery. At this time, you will hear the beep of the instrument and the remote control will switch to display the time and voltage;

2. Press the current selection key, the voltage selection key, the clear key, and the discharge key. After the beeping stops, the instrument will start to record the discharge time and display the battery voltage;

3. Selection of discharge current: 7-14ah is 5a, 17-24ah is 10a, the selection of discharge voltage and test battery capacity are 10.5v, and the battery that needs deep discharge is 3v;

4. The discharging stops, if there is a buzzing alarm, it is stopped, and the discharging time will be recorded when the battery is removed. The battery capacity is equal to the discharge current multiplied by the discharge time. Note that the discharge time is calculated in hours, 6 is divided into 0.1 hours.

If you want to judge whether the battery is good or bad, you can also use the empirical method to observe whether the battery electrolyte is turbid. The turbidity represents the softening of the positive plate of the battery. Observe whether there is any sediment at the bottom of the battery. If there is, it means that the plate has fallen off and the battery has insufficient power.
