What kind of oil is transfer case oil?Is the transfer case oil the same as the transmission oil?

The transfer case oil is a differential gear oil. Under normal use, the transfer case oil is checked every 30,000 to 50,000 kilometers, and only needs to be replaced if there is a problem. If the transfer case oil has no faults such as water ingress or oil leakage, it is no problem to replace it once the car runs 100,000 kilometers.

Is the transfer case oil the same as the transmission oil?

The transfer case oil is different from the transmission oil. Transmission oil is a synthetic oil with the characteristics of hydraulic transmission, gear oil, and hydraulic oil, while transfer case oil is a mechanical gear oil with simpler structure and composition than transmission oil. These two oils cannot be mixed. When changing the transfer case oil, be sure to purchase special transfer case oil. Gearbox oil should also use professional products. Vehicle gearbox oil is very important to the gearbox. Without gearbox oil, the gearbox will not operate normally.

If there is a problem with the transfer case oil and it is not changed for a long time, the lubrication performance will decrease, and there will be a lot of metal debris in the oil. These metal debris will continue to circulate in the transfer case with the oil, which will aggravate the wear of the transfer case gears.
