Situation 1: Black smoke
Car body performance: The car's engine shakes a lot, the exhaust pipe has abnormal sounds, and at the same time, black smoke is emitted, and it feels powerless when accelerating.
Cause of failure: The phenomenon of exhausting black smoke is more common on carburetor vehicles. This is because the fuel injection volume of carburetor models is not controlled by the computer, but by the pedal accelerator. In some cases, too much fuel enters. The cylinder was then expelled out of the car before it could burn, which caused the black smoke we saw.
Treatment methods: 1. Cars with carburetors are basically old now, and the aging degree of carburetors and other parts should be checked frequently. Unlike EFI cars, carburetor cars should be maintained and adjusted frequently. Develop good car habits. 2. EFI vehicles should check the cylinder line every 30,000 kilometers, check the spark plug every 10,000 kilometers, and replace them in time if there is any problem.
Situation 2: White smoke
Car body performance: It can be seen that a large amount of white water vapor comes out and the engine runs unevenly. Even if the engine is warmed up to the normal working water temperature, there is still a large amount of water vapor coming out.
Cause of failure: The white smoke may be caused by the wear of the head gasket of the engine cylinder, resulting in a certain gap, causing a large amount of water in the cooling system to enter the combustion chamber. Water cannot be burned, and when heated, water vapor is formed, which is directly discharged from the exhaust pipe.
Solution: 1. Check whether the engine block and cylinder head gasket are damaged, and check whether there is water in the fuel tank. 2. Check the car manual and add gasoline with the correct label in strict accordance with the manufacturer's regulations.
Situation 3: Blue Smoke
Car body performance: The explosive power of the vehicle decreases, the acceleration is weak, the noise becomes louder, the exhaust pipe emits blue smoke, and it is accompanied by the burnt smell produced by the burning of organic oil. By checking the oil dipstick, it is also found that the consumption of oil is too large. Under normal circumstances, after each maintenance is completed, the consumption of oil should be within the normal range after driving for 7500 kilometers, and there is no need to add halfway.
Cause of failure: Blue smoke is mostly caused by the internal failure of the engine, which causes the oil to enter the combustion chamber and burn. There are generally two common situations: the inner wall of the cylinder is scratched, the piston seal is poor, or the valve is severely worn, which will cause gaps. At this time, the oil that was originally responsible for lubricating will enter the combustion chamber through these gaps to participate in the combustion, and the unburnable oil will produce blue smoke when it is discharged out of the car.
Processing method:
1.For older vehicles, always check the tightness of the cylinder block, piston and other components, and go to the maintenance station for repairs in time when blue smoke is found to prevent greater losses.
2.The amount of oil added should be appropriate, too much or too little is not advisable. Regularly check the oil usage. Once abnormal oil consumption is found, go to a professional maintenance station for inspection immediately.
