Paint maintenance cannot be ignored. A complete guide to the

[Car Owner’s Home Beauty Knowledge]Car paint has little impact on the overall performance of the car, but it dominates the aesthetics of the car. Paint killers are everywhere in daily life, including car exhaust emissions, iron powder present in the air, natural oxidation of the paint surface, etc.

1. Oxidation of paint surface

When a car is exposed to ultraviolet rays from the sun, the paint film continuously evaporates oil into the air to protect itself. Over time, the oil content on the paint surface will dissipate excessively. The brightness and depth of the paint surface are greatly reduced, causing the paint surface to slowly turn white, forming an oxide layer, and shortening the life of the paint. The car paint can be observed with the naked eye to be black, white, and dull. Severe oxidation can be treated by grinding and polishing.

2. Traffic “membrane”

Your car generates a strong electrostatic layer due to friction while driving. Static electricity has a strong adsorption capacity for dust, oil and chemical dust, and over time forms a hard traffic film. It is very easy for the paint surface to oxidize and corrode, so it can be treated by grinding and polishing.

3. Cracks

If some necessary care is not taken on the paint surface, the metallic paint may produce very fine cracks, which will continue to penetrate the car paint until it "breaks through" the entire paint layer. This phenomenon is called "cracking". Sometimes cracks may occur due to quality issues with repainting. If there is car wax in the cracks, you will find stripe-like (trail lines) cracks on the car body. Regular waxing can reduce the occurrence of cracks.

4. Fading

Oil fumes and pollutants in the atmosphere are the main causes of fading and discoloration of car paint. Fading is different from oxidation. When fading occurs, uneven color differences appear in the paint. Medium and mild fading can be treated by grinding and polishing. In severe cases, it must be repainted.

5. Etch marks

Etch marks are planar abrasions. Insects, bird droppings, tree sap, tar, and asphalt can all cause corrosion. Only very slight problems can be solved by grinding and polishing.

6. Shallow scratches

Due to friction during use and improper daily care, slight scratches appear on the car's paint surface over time, without exposing the primer. Such scratches are greatly obvious in the sun. Generally, it can be removed using professional polishing methods.

7. Water marks

The water marks are ring-shaped. It is the trace left after the evaporation of water droplets. Oxidized cars and cars frequently cleaned with detergent are more likely to be infected with water mark disease. When the water mark is minor, it can be cured by waxing and polishing; when it is severe, grinding or spray painting is required.
