How to measure the fuel injector test lamp?

Generally, each injector will have a power line controlled by the main relay or fuel pump, and a signal line controlled by the engine computer ECU. When working, it must have a power supply and ECU control signals to work.

For the inspection of the fuel injector, we generally measure it through a test lamp (cannot be measured by a multimeter). During the measurement, we connect the two pins of the test lamp to the plug of the injector harness and start the engine. If the test lamp flashes at a certain frequency at this time, it indicates that the injector is working normally and there is no malfunction; and if At this time, the test lamp is not on or the test lamp is always on and not flashing, it means that the injector is working abnormally and there is a fault.

Interpretation of test lights

Since the ECU controls the fuel injection of the fuel injector through pulse electrical signals, under normal circumstances, the test lamp will continuously flash a certain frequency when the test lamp is tested; and if the test lamp does not light up, it means that the fuel injector is not injecting fuel. ; If the test light is always on, it means that the fuel injector is in a state of always injecting fuel.
